Why computer science is so popular today? Computers are everywhere and almost every family has computer at their home. So, what is a computer science?
Computer science is the mathematical and scientific rapprochement to computation, specially to the delineation of computing processes and machines. Computer expert is a scientist who dedicates to the theory about computer science and to design of computational programs.
Scientifical subfields have been divided into purely theoretical area for its application in computer systems and into practical technical part for its implementation. With the computer science a complexity theory computacional expert studies fundamental bases of possible computational problems. Other field, such as computer graphics, studies different methods for manipulating visual content and its digitally synthesizing.
Others focus in computer science are based on the challenges in implementing and improvement computations. For example, what is computer science based on programming language theory? This is a branch dealing with the implementation, classification, design, characterization and analisis of programming languages.
Modern computerscience includes software engineering, mathematics and linguistics. Surely, in the future it must be computer science who will resolve a majority of problems over the world.

Computer science is a discipline

Computer science is a discipline that spans theory and practice. It requires thinking both in abstract terms and in concrete terms. The practical side of computing can be seen everywhere. Nowadays, practically everyone is a computer user, and many people are even computer programmers. Getting computers to do what you want them to do requires intensive hands-on experience. But computer science can be seen on a higher level, as a science of problem solving. Computer scientists must be adept at modeling and analyzing problems. They must also be able to design solutions and verify that they are correct. Problem solving requires precision, creativity, and careful reasoning.
Computer science also has strong connections to other disciplines. Many problems in science, engineering, health care, business, and other areas can be solved effectively with computers, but finding a solution requires both computer science expertise and knowledge of the particular application domain. Thus, computer scientists often become proficient in other subjects.

Lecture Notes in Computer Science

Series Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS), including successive lectures in the field of Artificial Intelligence (LNAI) and lecture in Bioinformatics LNBI symbol), has established itself as a means of publishing new developments in the field of computer science and information technology, research and training - quickly, informally and at a high level.

Base LNCS editorial policy is continuing its commitment to report the latest results in all areas of computer science and information technology research, development and education. LNCS has always enjoyed a close collaboration with computer science R & D community, with many renowned scientists and prestigious institutions and scientific societies. Our mission is to serve the community by providing the most valuable publications services.

LNCS commenced publication in 1973 and quickly attracted the attention not least because it is still just published an unprecedented twist. In the years 1980 and 1990 has increased considerably in the series, in particular, the published volume. In late 1990, we have developed a systematic approach to providing LNCS in full text electronic version, along with printed books. Another new feature introduced in late 1990, the concept of a pair of sublines color cover. However, the results of original studies reported in the trial and remain based postproceedings LNCS.

What is a computer science?

Simply put, computer science is the science of computing or, in other words, it is the study of various computational processes or algorithms relating to information processing. It has been said about computer science that it is a term covering too wide a range of disciplines, and indeed its name tends to sound differently in different languages. When asked, ‘What is computer science?’ people tend to associate the name with computers per se, but scientists argue that computerscience is no more about computers than astronomy is about telescopes. When a future student asks himself ‘Why computer science?’ the answer is obvious: the demand for people with expertise in computer science and the analytical skills it involves continues to be very high. To give computer science a proper place among other disciplines one must remember both its theoretical and practical angles: the first having to do with the theory of computation, the second being about its application in various fields, such as computer engineering, computer networking, artificial intelligence and many others. Computer science and its methodology have influenced virtually all other sciences and computational research in biology, or chemistry, or physics would still be computer science.

You can read a lot about computer science, but in it will be just a part of great human knowledge in that area. Why? When you try to know “what is a computer science” – you’ll look into different parts of that science, and you have to be ready to see a lot of really different things.

Nobody can say now, that he still can stay away of computer science. Why computer science is everywhere now? Just because any device you use to pay for breakfast or patrol, to call your friend, to drive your car by gps… all of them are any kind of computer, little or big, very special or multifunctional, like laptop. It’s impossible to imagine our life today without computers…

So, what is computer science? It’s easy to answer – it’s a science about computers. About everything that one can do in the area of computers. Creating software and hardware, using computers for applied science, medical purposes, architecture, when you teach someone to use computer for his problems or if you’re being taught – you’re in computer science!

This science is very important for the humanity, as computers help us do lots of different jobs. Computer science develops quickly; it appeared only about half a century ago, but it has changed our life greatly, like any other science that had already existed for a long time. What is important about computer science is the fact that it influences our society, our lifestyle, our moral values. The Internet is slowly taking our lives over. The greatest example of this are our children. They spend a lot of their time in front of the computer screens, they get a lot out of the Net, they study computer science at school. A great number of high school students are intending to pursue a career in IT and nowadays finding a job for someone who is involved into information technology is quite difficult. All in all, our relation to computer science may be different, but we all have to accept that it plays a crucial role in our present and future existence. We might not like this, but we have to accept it.
